My Favorite Places: Colorado

I was born in Colorado and most of my family still lives there so I will show pictures of some of my favorite parts of Colorado.
Personal
Thornton, CO
This is a personal image from 3/19/2020 of my grandparent's house when it ended up getting 8 inches of snow by the end of the day.
Mount Olivet Cemetery Wheatridge, CO
My favorite place is not necessarily this cemetery. Wheatridge is the town I first lived in after I was born. Wheatridge has a high Italian American population of which my family is a part of. The cemetery pictured is where most of my paternal family is buried and is probably one of the only places that bear great meaning to me even though I am not a spiritual or religious person.
Aerial View of Arvada, CO
My dad grew up in Arvada and my grandparents lived here the first half of my life.

  1. That is so cool about Italian American heritage there in Colorado, Addison: wonderful! Maybe you will want to do an Italian folktale project for class; there is an Italian unit in the UnTextbook as you'll see next week! :-)
Italian Myth-Folklore Unit (the whole Italian storytelling tradition is so rich and beautiful)

With the blog post, you've got white text on the white background somehow, but that's easy to fix. You can open the post for editing (just click on it in your Blogger.com dashboard), and then click in the post and select all (Control-A is a shortcut for that), and then hit the Tx button which is at the far right of the extended editing bar. That removes all the formatting like text color. Then if you publish it, the text will be readable. That Tx button is one of the best things in Blogger: it's like a reset button for all the formatting. :-)

  2. Oh, this is interesting: I think you have somehow changed your template to make the font all white on purpose because even my comment showed up as all white. So check on the "Theme" there... if you have white background for the post, then have the text font color be darker, like dark green maybe or something like that!
